September has quickly crept up on the northeast, meaning it’s the busiest time of the year for festivals.

Sea.Hear.Now: September 14-15, Asbury Park, NJ

Sea.Hear.Now, New Jersey’s premier rock festival, will return to New Jersey for its sixth year on the Asbury Park Oceanfront and Bradley Park.

Headlined by Bruce Springsteen and Noah Kahan across two days, the festival will also welcome hometown favorites like The Gaslight Anthem, Kool & the Gang, Sunshine Spazz, and Joe P.

The festival is now quickly approaching (only 5 days away!) and will feature many new features and upgrades, like a no-blanket zone, more speakers, and more video towers at the Surf Stage.

One Bite Pizza Fest: September 14, New York City

Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Fest returns to New York City this weekend, now at Randall’s Island.

The festival now features two separate sessions: one in the afternoon and one in the evening. One Bite Pizza Fest will feature over 30 pizzerias and dessert for all-you-can-eat food.

Unlike the first year which featured performances by Teddy Swims and Pup Punk, this year will not feature performances or a main stage.

Tickets for the afternoon session are sold out, but the evening session tickets are still on sale.

MMRBQ: September 21, Camden, NJ

MMRBQ is set for its biggest festivals in a while, taking place at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden.

The festival began in 2007, and has featured big names like Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction, and Bush over the years.

This year, the festival is headlined by The Offspring, who have since had many reviews of well-performed shows after CoVID.

Halestorm, Nothing More, The Warning, and Jersey Calling are among other names on the lineup. Tickets are still available.

Oceans Calling: September 27-29, Ocean City, MD

The sold-out Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, MD is back for a second (or kind of third) year following the success of last year. The festival is a short road trip away from New Jersey residents in South Jersey.

Dave Matthews Band, blink-182, and The Killers are headlining the festival, and many other huge names are also billed.

Soundside: September 28-29, Bridgeport, CT

Sound on Sound Festival returns under a new name in Bridgeport, now called Soundside, and features headline sets by Foo Fighters and Noah Kahan, plus sub headlining sets by Goo Goo Dolls and Jersey’s own Bleachers.

Tickets are still available in a small quantity. More preview coverage will be coming your way in the coming weeks.

Country Calling: October 4-5, Ocean City, MD

The inaugural Country Calling Festival, taking place on the same grounds as Oceans Calling, is coming up as one of the last big festivals in the northeast this year.

Headlined by Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Tyler Childers, and Eric Church, it’s a great lineup for all types of country fans.

Coverage for each festival will be live on the website ahead of each week.
