My Chemical Romance pulled out all the stops at the first show on this year’s “Black Parade” U.S. tour.

Following a high-energy set from Franz Ferdinand, MCR took the crowd of over 40,000 through the story of “The Black Parade,” the band’s most successful album. The band went all-in with outfits, visuals, choreography, and cannon story events.

After the album playthrough, and a reprise of “The End.” and “Welcome to the Black Parade” complete with fire and pyro, the band took to the B-Stage for a really cool set of deep cuts and fan favorites.

The concept of the show was a really cool experience, and one of the better shows I have seen all year. Oh, and it helps that they’re representing New Jersey well, too.
