Who says you can’t go home? Not Bon Jovi.
At night nine of nine at Madison Square Garden, Jon Bon Jovi stuck to his Jersey roots more than any other night. It’s no secret that JBJ is a staple of Garden State culture, and he encapsulated that in New York City by bringing out the “king of New Jersey,” as he called it, Bruce Springsteen to close the show.
Springsteen joined the show in the encore following “Bad Medicine” to perform Bon Jovi’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” and Springsteen’s “The Promised Land.”
It was the second time Bon Jovi welcomed The Boss to his stage, and the first since 2012’s MSG show, where the two performed the same JBJ track. The only time Springsteen ever welcomed Bon Jovi to his stage was at the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year show, honoring Jon Bon Jovi, where the two performed the same two songs.
