Jason Aldean and friends took the “Full Throttle” tour to Sports Illustrated Stadium, the second of three shows on the tour in New Jersey.

Aldean previously headlined the Barefoot Country Music Fest in June as part of the tour.

Barefoot Country Music Fest day three review:

While Aldean’s setlist stayed the same, he added in an additional song. “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” is his latest single that will be released on a new record coming next year.

Aldean also had more energy than he did at his BCMF show. One of the criticisms of his headlining show this past summer was the fact that he seemed tired or that he may not have wanted to be there, despite playing to a crowd of 40,000.

At this show, at a stadium which can house 25,000 for soccer games, Aldean was pretty pumped up and on a few weeks of rest.

It’s also noteworthy that the temperature fell below 60 degrees; just one week earlier, this outdoor show would have been done in the 80+ degree weather.

Warren Zeiders opened the show with a 45-minute, 8-song set. His set was similar to the one performed opening for Lainey Wilson at Barefoot Country Music Fest.

Chase McDaniel’s opening set was met with difficult technical challenges throughout the beginning of the show, but after covering Creed’s “Higher,” the show seemed to conclude smoothly.

Lauren Gottshall, an up-and-coming country star, opened the night with her first stadium show, which was notably one of the better early-openers we’ve seen for a country show. She even had a pyrotechnic firework show concluding her set.

Ludacris, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, and Ashanti continue Sports Illustrated Stadium’s concert series tonight.
