Bridgeport’s Soundside Music Festival, formerly Sound on Sound, has been cancelled. The festival was supposed to host Hozier, The Killers, Weezer, and more on September 27 and 28 at Seaside Park.
The festival is displaying the following statement on their website, which has been wiped of other pages:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Soundside Music Festival has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days depending on your bank’s processing time.”
Soundside’s social media pages have also been deleted.
The festival returned with struggles last year, after Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone were among those who dropped out of the event last-minute.
After the 2023 edition of the festival, Live Nation regional president Jim Koplik expressed his concern for the state of Soundside.
“I know we screwed up, but social media was very mean to us and I took it personally… I’m not really sure I want to do it again,” Koplik said in December of 2023.
This news is breaking and the article will be updated with more updates.
