A fan-favorite music festival in Jersey City, NJ, was set to take place this Saturday, May 17. The festival, Jersey Fest, has been postponed with no makeup date announced.

The show was supposed to feature NJ’s Reality Suite, Emerson Woolf, and Connor Bracken, showcasing the state’s unique and diverse music scene. The event was scheduled to take place at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall.

The event was also supposed to feature fan-favorite food vendors like Rutt’s Hutt and Johnny’s Pork Roll and Coffee Too.

Radio Garden State and Jersey Fest put out the following joint statement on Tuesday:

“After much consideration, we’ve made the incredibly tough decision to postpone this weekend’s Jersey Fest until later this year.

“This wasn’t an easy call. A lot of heart, time, and energy went into planning this event, not just from us, but from the incredible artists and bands, vendors, and partners who helped bring it to life.

“But in order to give this festival the full experience and energy it deserves, for the bands, the vendors, and especially for all of you, we know the right move is to take a step back and reschedule for a date that allows us to deliver on that vision.”

The festival also ensured that fans who had purchased tickets will recieve the option to refund their ticket, or hold onto it for the rescheduled show.

The statement ended with the following:

“Stay tuned–Jersey Fest will return, and when it does, it’ll be louder and better than ever.

“Thank you for being part of the Radio Garden State community.”

Comments from fans on social media were overwhelmingly positive. Many supported the decision, and some were even excited that the new date might adhere to their schedule as they weren’t able to make the event previously.
