The indoor concert season in New Jersey winds down during the month of April, with venues like Starland Ballroom, Count Basie, The Wellmont Theater, and Prudential Center packed with shows.

Below is a list of featured shows in the state this month:

April 3: Millington with Eternal Boy

House of Independents, Asbury Park

Pop-punk group Millington, along with special guests Eternal Boy, are playing a Thursday-night show at House of Independents, which is now operated by Concert Crave.

April 5: Armor for Sleep with Boys Night Out and Hellogoodbye

The Wellmont Theater, Montclair

April is one of the busiest months at The Wellmont, and it starts with Armor for Sleep’s anniversary tour rolling through town with Boys Night Out and Hellogoodbye. Another full bill of pop-punk coming to New Jersey!

April 5 & 6: Trey Anastasio

Count Basie, Red Bank

Trey Anastasio of Phish is performing two nights of acoustic music at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theater.

Anastasio last performed in the state with his band at Sea.Hear.Now in 2024.

April 6: Mary J. Blige

Prudential Center, Newark

Prudential Center’s concert series remains in full swing this month, starting off with a headline show by tri-state native Mary J. Blige.

April 9: Deftones

Prudential Center, Newark

Deftones have been back on the rise and are doing one of their biggest arena tours yet. The hardcore band last performed in the state in 2022 at the Stone Pony Summer Stage.

April 11: The Slackers with Catch 22

Starland Ballroom, Sayreville

Big-billed ska shows have become staples of the Starland Ballroom schedule over the years! This month, The Slackers, Catch 22, Crazy & the Brains, and Lady Hatchet will be heading to Sayreville for a night of ska.

April 15: Spiritbox

The Wellmont Theater, Montclair

Spiritbox is performing their first headline show in NJ since 2022, when they headlined Starland Ballroom. Since then, they’ve opened for bands like Ghost, Mastadon, and more at the Prudential Center (twice), CURE Insurance Arena, and Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.

April 15, 16, & 18: The Used

Starland Ballroom, Sayreville

The Used are stopping in NJ on their biggest tour yet, where they’ll be performing an album in full at each night.

Tuesday, Apr. 15: Self-Titled (with support from Family Dinner)

Wednesday, Apr. 16: In Love and Death (with support from In Angles)

Friday, Apr. 18: Lies for the Liars (with support from MX Lonely)

April 25: Live

Count Basie Theater, Red Bank

Coming off of their successful co-headline summer tour with Stone Temple Pilots, Live will be returning to the Garden State for a headline show at Count Basie, one of just a handful of intimate shows announced.

The band is also going on an amphitheater tour with Collective Soul and Our Lady Peace this summer.
