The City of Wildwood approved a five-year contract extension for the Barefoot Country Music Fest in a recent Board of Commissioners meeting.

The contract was adopted and approved in December but wasn’t publicly announced until recently.

The festival, which is holding its fifth anniversary this year with Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Rascal Flatts, and Jason Aldean, has brought names like Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, and Keith Urban to the beach in Wildwood.

“We are incredibly honored to announce that the Barefoot Country Music Fest has been approved for another five years on the beautiful beaches of Wildwood, New Jersey,” Souther Entertainment co-founder Rob Pedlow said. “To say we’re excited is an understatement. Wildwood is home for us and the thousands of fans who join us every year.”

The festival brought in a peak of 34,000 attendees per day in 2024, a record-high for the festival, showing its continued growth.

“This wouldn’t be possible without the city’s leadership and the incredible people who make it all run so smoothly,” Pedlow said. “We look forward to continuing to bring unforgettable music experiences to this amazing community.”

For the city, the festival is bringing in more tourism and enthusiasm, according to Mayor Ernie Troiano, Jr.

“Teaming up with Barefoot Country Music Fest for another five years is a no-brainer. It’s a win-win for everyone involved,” Troiano, Jr. said. “Wildwood continues its decades-long tradition of first-class musical entertainment, while the entire island and Cape May County benefit from the influx of country music fans during the four-day music fest. We’re thrilled to welcome BCMF back.”

Tickets are still available for the festival, taking place on Jun. 19 through Jun. 22 here.
