In terms of the tri-state area, it’s fair to say that New York City is the premier location for New Year’s Eve performances.
Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years’ Eve has been on the air since the early ’70s and will continue on Dec. 31 with performances like Carrie Underwood, TLC, New Jersey’s Jonas Brothers, and many more to ring in the new year.
Ryan Seacrest is hosting in Times Square, which will be his 20th year hosting. He took over for Dick Clark in 2007 and has hosted since.
On the west coast, Alanis Morisette will perform a special set with Renee Rapp. The shows were filmed in Los Angeles.
Rob Gronkowski will host the Las Vegas segment of the show, as Cody Johnson, Blake Shelton, and more hit the stage at the Bellagio Fountains.
Luis Fonsi will perform a special New Year’s Eve set in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The coverage will be live on ABC starting at 8:00 pm EST and continuing through the night. It will be available the next day on Hulu.
