New Jersey natives The Bouncing Souls are returning for a handful of shows in Asbury Park as ‘Home for the Holidays’ returns.
From Saturday, Dec. 28 through Monday, Dec. 30, the Souls will perform three headlining shows at The Stone Pony, along with three support artists per night, plus will appear and host aftershows throughout the city.
“Home For The Holidays was such a huge part of our lives for nine years until we transitioned our annual Asbury Park celebration from a December to July, with the creation of Stoked For The Summer,” The Bouncing Souls said via Instagram. “We wrapped up our Home For The Holidays run after nine amazing (although sometimes snowy) years. With 2024 marking the 50th Anniversary of the Stone Pony, we thought it would be the perfect time to bring it back for a special 10th edition.”
Below is a rundown of events for the weekend:
Saturday, Dec. 28: Saturday’s festivities begin with the first of three headlining shows at The Stone Pony for the Souls. Support features Strike Anywhere, Tim Barry of Avail, and Gimme Drugs.
Starting Saturday, Anchors Aweigh Tattoo Studio will be holding a tattoo flash event daily at their location in Bradley Beach.
The Bouncing Souls canned food drive will also begin Saturday and run through all three days. The food will benefit local families in need, and you will receive a Bouncing Souls Christmas card upon donation. Donations can be made at any of the three shows at The Stone Pony.
Sunday, Dec. 29: The Souls’ headlining shows continue on Sunday with support from Dave Hause & the Mermaid, The Ratchets, and Seaside Caves.
The Punk Rock Flea Market will also be setting up shop at The Berkeley Hotel from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The market features vendors of those in the New Jersey area, typically selling music related items and prints, but may include other goods. It’s a great way to support local New Jersey artists and businesses.
At the flea market, The Bouncing Souls will be performing an acoustic “Kids Show: Punk Gig for the Kids” from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm. Admission is free for anyone with a ticket to the flea market. The event is first come, first serve, and priority will be given to those with kids.
Play Date and Tim & Lela Jane Barry will also be performing acoustic sets.
After the Souls show, Strike Anywhere and friends will headline a show at The Azure at The Berkeley Hotel, which is a very tiny and intimate venue. Tickets are available here – doors open at 11:00 pm.
Monday, Dec. 30: Home for the Holidays concludes with The Bouncing Souls, The Pietasters, Beach Rats, and The Kilograms at The Stone Pony.

Main show tickets are sold out, but there are still tickets to some of the side events in the community. Any of the events are a great way to get involved and support the community.
