Jelly Roll made his latest stop on the “Beautifully Broken” tour at the Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday night.
It was one of many highlights of Jelly Roll’s weekend, which included a sold-out Madison Square Garden, a slot at New York’s Global Citizen Festival, and an appearance at Saturday Night Live.
His appearance at Prudential Center featured openers Alexandra Kay and Warren Zeiders, along with his DJs, Hylyte and DJ Chill.
Alexandra Kay started the show with a song off her newest record, “All I’ve Ever Known,” and performed six songs off that record.

She also performed her biggest hits, including “Everleave” and “Skip This Part.” Not only did Kay perform her strongest hits in her 35-minute set, she also appeared during Jelly Roll’s headlining set to perform “Friends in Low Places” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”
Warren Zeiders was up next, a musician from Hershey, PA, who has nothing short of a catalog of hits.
From “Pretty Little Poison” to “Relapse,” he played them all and then some. Zeiders also performed two unreleased songs, “Take It to the Grave” and “Best I’ve Ever Had.”

Between sets, DJ Hylyte and Chill, friends of Jelly Roll for a long time, took the B stage to perform popular country songs. There was no period where music wasn’t playing at The Rock.

Jelly Roll didn’t take the stage in a traditional manner. Walking through the crowd, Jelly Roll met and gave high-fives to everyone as he walked through the alley.
When arriving to the B Stage, he let the moment sink in before breaking into the lead single of his newest record, “I Am Not Okay.”
After the song, he went back through the crowd to the main stage to reunite with his band while performing “Halfway to Hell.”
Throughout the night, Jelly Roll performed old rap songs and newer country songs, along with unreleased country tracks from his upcoming album, “Beautifully Broken.”
He also mentioned that the crowd at the Prudential Center was the “loudest and noisiest crowd” on tour so far.
During the set, Jelly Roll brought out Machine Gun Kelly, now known as mgk to perform their collaborative song, “Lonely Road,” an extension to John Denver’s “Country Roads.” The two also performed “my ex’s best friend,” one of Machine Gun Kelly’s top songs. He also came back out later in the set to perform “Need a Favor.”
At the end of the show, Jelly Roll returned to the B Stage in the same fashion he did at the start: walking through the crowd to greet his fans. He performed “Save Me” in the rain, which unlit his burning frame set.
