Oceans Calling Festival, just south of New Jersey in Ocean City, Maryland, unveiled their 2024 festival schedules on Wednesday.

Friday:

Sea Bright Stage:

12:30 – 1:00: Stolen Gin

1:45 – 2:30: Winona Fighter

3:15 – 4:15: Larkin Poe

5:15 – 6:15: O.A.R.

7:15 – 8:15: Cage the Elephant

9:30 – 11:00: blink-182

The main stage, known as the Sea Bright Stage, features many big names, including the festival’s co-organizers, O.A.R. Cage the Elephant into blink-182 will make for a huge few hours in the alternative/rock genre. Both artists are coming off of succesful new records and tours: blink-182 with ‘ONE MORE TIME…’ and their 2023 World Tour plus their 2024 Summer Tour, and Cage the Elephant with ‘Neon Pill,’ featuring a tour that stops at Madison Square Garden.

Rockville Stage:

1:00 – 1:45: Vincent Lima

2:30 – 3:15: Phillip Phillips

4:15 – 5:15: The Darkness

6:15 – 7:15: 311

8:15 – 9:30: Sublime (featuring original members plus Jakob Nowell)

The Rockville Stage, the primary side stage, features more of the reggae vibe that O.A.R. strives for. Sublime, who reunited at Coachella Festival, feature the original Sublime lineup as well as Bradley Nowell’s son, Jakob.

311 combines rock and reggae for a perfect fit for this festival. Many will be hitting up O.A.R., 311, and Sublime on the first day.

Carousel Stage:

1:45 – 2:30: Chef Marc Murphy (cooking display)

3:15 – 4:15: Tonic

5:15 – 6:15: Sugar Ray

7:15 – 8:15: The Revivalists

The tent stage at Oceans Calling is a fan-favorite, featuring underrated artists and the festival’s daily cooking showcase. Today, it features Marc Murphy, an executive chef and Food Network personality.

Sugar Ray is a band that many will be seeing that they might not see at a standalone show, and The Revivalists are an underrated group that feature a blend of genres.

Saturday:

Sea Bright Stage:

12:30 – 1:15: Glom

2:00 – 2:45: Trevor Hall

3:30 – 4:15: The Beaches

5:15 – 6:15: Young the Giant

7:15 – 8:15: The Beach Boys

9:30 – 11:00: The Killers

Saturday is one of the best days in all of music festivals across the northeast. The Killers are a consistent headliner every time, and the main stage is stacked with fitting names.

The Beach Boys, featuring original member Mike Love and his friends and family, will sometimes bring John Stamos along to perform with them. That should be likely for this huge festival appearence.

The Beaches, an all-female alternative group always strive at beach concerts. If you’ve never heard of them, check out their hit, ‘Blame Brett,’ and it’ll be stuck in your head for days.

Rockville Stage:

1:15 – 2:00: Katelyn Tarver

2:45 – 3:30: Switchfoot

4:15 – 5:15: The Hives

6:15 – 7:15: Rebelution

8:15 – 9:30: The Offspring

For a mostly rock-centered Rockville Stage for the day, this is pretty good. The Offspring are headlining the stage for a 75-minute set, a band that has gotten even better live post-pandemic. Rebelution breaks up some major rock acts in The Hives and Switchfoot, who both put on great shows.

Carousel Stage:

12:30 – 1:15: Chef Robert Irvine

2:00 – 2:45: The Samples

3:30 – 4:15 TBD

5:15 – 6:15: Grouplove

7:15 – 8:15: The All-American Rejects

Not a bad stage here, either, with The All-American Rejects headlining the tent. Grouplove and The Samples round out the other names on the stage, plus another group to be named later.

Sunday:

Sea Bright:

1:15 – 2:00: Jade Bird

2:45 – 3:45: Guster

4:45 – 5:45: Barenaked Ladies

6:45 – 7:45: Mt. Joy

9:00 – 11:00: Dave Matthews Band

What a way to round the festival out. This is easily one of the easiest stages to camp out you’ll see. From Jade Bird opening, to Guster and Barenaked Ladies, to Mt. Joy who are rising out super fast, and ending with Dave Matthews Band, who never miss live.

Rockville:

12:30 – 1:15: Stephen Kellog

2:00 – 3:00: Big Head Todd and the Monsters

3:45 – 4:45: Blues Traveler (performing “Four” in full)

5:45 – 6:45: O.A.R. & Friends

7:45 – 9:00: Counting Crows

I’ll start with this: Just go see the O.A.R. & Friends set. It’s one of the most fun things to do at festivals, and is similar to Bonnaroo’s Superjam. It’s filled with various covers performed by O.A.R., and they bring up some great names every year. In 2023, guests featured DMC, G. Love, Richie Sambora, Robert Randolph, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Virginia Coalition.

Carousel Stage:

1:15 – 2:00: Chef Amanda Freitag

2:45 – 3:45: Lisa Loeb

4:45 – 5:45: Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

6:45 – 7:45: Boyz II Men

Tom Odell was removed from the lineup and will be replaced with a name closer to the festival.
