Due to rain, Sad Summer Festival had to reschedule last week’s date to Saturday, which the festival plans to make up to fans with “special surprises.”

The festival, which had to be canceled due to dangerous weather, was rescheduled, and honored all tickets to fans who originally planned to attend, and also offered refunds to patrons who couldn’t make the new date.

Unfortunately, We the Kings will not be able to play at the new date as they had a prior show commitment. Hot Milk was also supposed to be off the bill on tour with blink-182, but the show got cancelled due to blink-182’s lead singer Tom DeLonge having an illness. They’ve since been added back to the bill for the Summer Stage show.

Full lineup:

Mayday Parade

The Maine

The Wonder Years

Real Friends

Knuckle Puck

Hot Milk

Daisy Grenade

Diva Bleach

The show is set to begin at 2:00 pm, with doors opening at 1:00 pm. Some sets should be slightly longer due to We the King’s abscense.

The festival also alluded to there being special surprises, which fans have been speculating about. Some are hoping for surprise guests, while others are a bit more ambitious, hoping for full sets by big bands.

Emo Nite Brooklyn, who were originally supposed to perform at the indoor Stone Pony, have moved their show to Asbury Lanes and is now the official aftershow for Sad Summer Festival in New Jersey.

With the festival set to be all good this afternoon with Tropical Storm Debbie’s passing, who do you think will appear as a surprise. Let us know on our Instagram, @njmusicfestivals. Also feel free to send in clips to be posted.
