It’s Tuesday, so tour announcements are buzzing, as artists are adding shows to the area in the late summer. Below is a list of some of the major tour announcements from this week:

Ms. Lauryn Hill

Last year, Newark native Ms. Lauryn Hill & The Fugees celebrated the 20th anniversary of ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ at the Prudential Center in her hometown. This year, she’s returning to the Garden State at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Saturday, September 21st. She’ll be performing songs from said record, which charted #1 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums list. YG Marley will be opening the show in Holmdel.

Post Malone

Post Malone, coming off headlining shows at GovBall and Bonnaroo, has announced a tour celebrating his new country-driven record, ‘F-1 Trillion’. After ‘AUSTIN’ didn’t chart as he would have liked, the genre change is appealing to his old fans as well as country fans in general. Though the tour isn’t coming to New Jersey, the show in Wangtah is just a hop and skip away from Jersey. He’s also playing in Hartford the week prior, and Scranton.

Joe P

Joe P, who is performing a hometown show at Sea.Hear.Now later this year, has announced a headlining show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park following the festival. The show, scheduled for December 13th, will go on sale this Friday. He’ll be playing old songs, along with songs from his new record, ‘Garden State Vampire’.

It should be a fun summer in New Jersey and the surrounding area, and more tours are still anticipated.
