Following Post Malone’s high production set to close out day one, Saturday’s acts did not disappoint.

GoPuff opened with The Thing, a newer rock group. The band had a similar sound to Cage the Elephant, but with their own style. The band, even with just 30 minutes, got the festival off with a bang.

The crowd filled up early for Bakar on GoPuff just a few hours later, but not as much as anticipated for Chappell Roan’s set tomorrow.

Jessie Murph followed on the main stage, who has collaborated with the likes of Jelly Roll in the past. Murph went from doing TikTok covers post-pandemic to performing on one of the largest stages in the festival circuit, and she was appreciative of the fact.

Out on the IHG Stage, P1Harmony, d4vd, and Hippo Campus crushed back-to-back-to-back sets on the small stage. Playing all unique styles, it fit together for the vibe of the stage.

Rolling back to the main stage, one of the most anticipated run of artists started with Sabrina Carpenter.

Carpenter, infamous for her outro to ‘Nonsense’, which she changes for each city, made some not-so-PG references, so look away kids: “People who hate pride can suck my GovBalls.”

Moving on, Carly Rae Jepsen, who wrote the hit ‘Call Me Maybe’ set the stage for The Killers, who would be on after. Jepsen, known as CRJ, played a career-spanning set, features 15 songs from most of her records.

During ‘Call Me Maybe’, CRJ ran into the crowd to give out high fives and to get the energy up, more than it already was.

In between sets on the main stage, a tough conflict for many occurred, featuring 21 Savage on GoPuff and TV Girl on IHG.

21 Savage performed parts of many songs in his hour-long headline set, including his latest hit, ‘redrum’.

The Killers, who played Bowery Ballroom on Friday, closed out the festival for the day.

Their set started with ‘Somebody Told Me’, one of the hit tracks from ‘Hot Fuss’, which they are celebrating 20 years of this year.

The band also brought on stage a drummer from the crowd, Anthony, who also played guitar on stage with Post Malone yesterday. He’s had quite the success getting on stage, as he’s been on stage with Malone three times, and now once with The Killers.

The Killers closed with their 50/50 version of Mr. Brightside, one of the biggest songs of their genre. The band brought their Las Vegas energy all the way from the west coast into the city for their Flushing debut.

The festival concludes with SZA, Peso Pluma, Chappell Roan, and more tomorrow. Make sure to head out to the festival and check out the NBA Finals presented by YouTube area, where you can check out the NBA Finals.
