Tour announcements have been rolling into the Garden State as the day has gone on, including new show announcements from Frank Turner and Ice Spice.
First up, English songwriter, who has already done a show in NJ and Philadelphia this year, announced more dates for his ‘Undefeated’ tour supporting his new record. The first show on the second leg of the US tour will be at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.
The tour features guests Bridge City Sinners and Bedouin Soundclash. Bridge City Sinners have been touring with him all year, and Bedouin Soundclash opened for his show with The Interrupters in Asbury Park last year.
The show at Starland will be on August 23rd, the same day that Something Corporate takes the stage on the Stone Pony Summer Stage.
Next up, Ice Spice has announced a tour supporting her new, upcoming record, ‘Y2K!’, named after the year she was born, 2000.
The singer will be in all sorts of sizes of venues on this tour, but the show in New Jersey is on the smaller end. She will be headlining the Wellmont Theater in Montclair on August 1st.
Her name record will be released on July 26th, which was announced in a joint announcement with the tour news.
Sturgill Simpson, who is headlining Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas, has announced a tour that won’t be stopping in New Jersey, but it will be coming to Philadelphia.
The tour, titled ‘An Evening with Sturgill Simpson’ features special guest, Johnny Blue Skies, which is Simpson’s new alias. The tour also features support from Lord Huron.
Simpson and Huron will be arriving in Philadelpiha at The Met on November 12th. He’s also headlining a show at Forest Hills Stadium a month prior on October 19th.
Lastly, Dogstar announced a new headline tour yesterday, which will be stopping in Pennsylvania and New York.
The ‘Summer Vacation’ tour will stop in Bethlehem, PA on August 17th, and Waterloo Village the day after, August 18th.
Dogstar is a band which features Keanu Reeves, the man behind John Wick. The band will be releasing their first album in over 20 years.
