The summer is starting up in New Jersey with some warm weather, and with that comes a whole lot of summer concerts! North2Shore Festival is also this month, so there will be a ton of shows in Newark, Asbury Park, and Atlantic City as part of the concert series. Here’s a list of the best shows in the state (and the surrounding area) this month.

June 1 – 2: Fletcher & Friends at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
Fletcher is doing two nights at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury this month, with different support each night. The show on June 1st, a Saturday, includes support from G Flip and Ari Abdul, while the show the following day, Sunday, features support from Maude Latour.
June 4: Joss Stone at Wellmont Theater, Montclair
Joss Stone is bringing her ‘Ellipsis Tour’ to Montclair at the Wellmont Theater in early June. Support will be provided by Nik West.
June 6-7: The Menzingers at White Eagle Hall, Jersey City
The Menzingers are hosting two nights in Jersey City at a very intimate venue, White Eagle Hall. The band is local to New Jersey, so the show will be very high energy.
June 8: An Oral History of the Stone Pony Book Release Party at the Stone Pony, Asbury Park
The Stone Pony is hosting a release party for the drop of the book about the venue ‘I Don’t Want to Go Home: The Oral History of The Stone Pony’ which starts at 8:00 pm. The party includes music from Mark Ribler and Friends. Aside from that set, the party will also include appearances from members of The E Street Band, The Bouncing Souls, The Gaslight Anthem, the Asbury Jukes, and many more.
June 9: Del Water Gap at the Stone Pony, Asbury Park
Del Water Gap is bringing their ‘I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left’ tour to the indoor Pony on Sunday, June 9th. The group is bringing Kaleah Lee along with them on tour.
June 12: Chris Brown at Prudential Center, Newark
Chris Brown is playing the PruCenter as part of the ‘11:11 Tour’ along with special guests Ayra Starr and MAETA.
# June 12: Gary Clark Jr. at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
As part of North2Shore Festival, Gary Clark Jr. is hitting the summer stage for a midweek outdoor show. Tangiers Blues Band, fronted by Danny Clinch, will be adding support for the show, so that’s a reason just to go on its own.
# June 13: Band of Horses at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
The festival continues with Band of Horses on the Summer Stage. Sunshine Spazz, a local Asbury Park band who will be performing at Sea.Hear.Now Festival, will be opening for their first set on the Summer Stage.
# June 14: Lake Street Dive at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
Lake Street Dive adds a third show in a row for North2Shore’s Summer Stage run. On the same day in the indoor Pony, there are two other shows happening: an early show from Steph Amarosa and a late show from The Vibrotones.
# June 15: Bleachers at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
Probably the biggest band to play the venue this year, Bleachers are bringing back the ‘Shadow of the City’ Festival to the Summer Stage, as part of North2Shore. The festival starts at 2:00 pm and includes music from The Japanese House, Samia, The Wonder Years, and more.
# June 15: I Am the Avalanche at Asbury Lanes, Asbury Park
I Am the Avalanche are helping close out North2Shore in Asbury with a set at Lanes. The show is part of their 20th Anniversary tour.
* June 16: Trombone Shorty at Rooftop at Pier 17, New York City
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, along with Neal Francis, are playing a set at the Rooftop for a nice NYC summer outdoor night.
* June 18: The Teskey Brothers at The Met, Philadelphia
The Teskey Bros, along with Trousdale, will be performing at The Met in Philadadelphia in mid-June. The group is not coming to New Jersey this year.
* June 20: The Kid LAROI at The Met, Philadelphia
The Kid LAROI doesn’t do too many shows in the area, so this is one you don’t want to miss if you’re a fan.
June 21: T-Pain at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
T-Pain is bringing LaRussell, NandoSTL, Young Ca$h, and the vibes to the Summer Stage on Friday, June 21st on his ‘Mansion in Wisconsin’ tour.
* June 21: Something Corporate at Rooftop at Pier 17, New York City
The pop-punk band is coming back together for their first headline tour in years, and will be starting it in the city. The band will also be coming to the Stone Pony Summer Stage in August. They’re performing at The Met in Philadelphia the day after as well.
June 22: Jake Owen at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
A notable genre shift occurs on Saturday for a Jake Owen set on the Summer Stage, as the summer lineup continues in the heart of the summer.
* June 22: Frank Turner at The Fillmore, Philadelphia
Frank Turner is skipping out on New Jersey for his ‘Undefeated’ album release tour this year, but he’ll be stopping by The Fillmore in Philadelphia for a show.
# June 22: The B-52s at Ocean Casino, Atlantic City
The B-52s are performing at Ocean for North2Shore’s Atlantic City stretch, and are performing with The Weeklings. Tickets are still available.
# June 22: Barenaked Ladies at Tropicana, Atlantic City
The casino shows continue for North2Shore with Barenaked Ladies at the Showroom at Tropicana.
* June 24-25: Lizzy McAlpine at The Met, Philadelphia
Lizzy McAlpine is doing two nights at The Met in Philly as part of ‘The Older Tour’.
# June 26: A Day to Remember at Prudential Center, Newark
North2Shore’s Newark week begins with A Day to Remember at the Prudential Center. The pop-punk band will have support from more pop-punk bands on the ‘Least Anticipated Album’ tour. Support is provided by The Story So Far and Four Year Strong.
# June 27: Matchbox Twenty at Prudential Center, Newark
North2Shore continues with Matchbox Twenty at the PruCenter. Andy Grammer will be opening the show up.
# June 28: Gabriel Iglesias at Prudential Center, Newark
North2Shore isn’t just about music, it’s about comedy as well. Gabriel Iglesias is one of the top standup comedians in the country now, and is headlining a set at Prudential Center at the end of June.
June 29: Orville Peck at Stone Pony Summer Stage, Asbury Park
Orville Peck is bringing the ‘Stampede Tour’ to Asbury Park with special guest Goldie Boutillier.
# June 30: Kevin Hart at Prudential Center, Newark
The comedy continues, and ends, at North2Shore with a festival concluding set by Kevin Hart in Newark.
