19-year-old d4vd is set to perform at GovBall’s IHG Hotels and Resorts Stage on Saturday evening.
d4vd is playing a plethora of shows this year, including a full ‘My House Is Not A Home’ world tour. The single, under the same name as the tour, was released this year, along with a few other singles. In fact, ‘Feel It’ was featured in Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible.
The first paragraph of this article might lead you to believe that d4vd is a new, up and coming artist, however that is not the case. He has two tracks with over one billion streams on Spotify, along with nearly 30,000,000 monthly listeners in May. dvvd will perform at major cities across the world, as well as big festivals like Lollapalooza and Bonnnaroo to go along with his GovBall set.
One of those tracks, ‘Romantic Homicide’ was released in 2022, which reached No. 34 ont he Billboard Hot 100, leading him to sign with Interscope Records. The most impressive fact of the song is that it was recorded entirely on an iPhone and has reached the spot where it is now.
In 2023, he released his debut album, ‘Petals to Thorns’ which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseakers list. The album features 9 songs, along with a feature from Laufey. That same year, he toured with SZA on her ‘SOS’ tour and performed at Austin City Limits Festival along with Camp Flog Gnaw.
If you’re trying to get into his music before the festival and like 21 Savage, The Kid LAROI, and Laufey, you’re in luck because he has collaborations with all of them. He worked with 21 Savage for ‘Call Me Revenge’, with Laufey for ‘This Is How It Feels’, and appeared on ‘THE LINE’ with The Kid LAROI.
