The Thing is a rock band right from Brooklyn, New York, and is set to play in the early afternoon on Saturday of the Governers Ball.
The band started in high school and debuted their first record, ‘Here’s The Thing’ in 2023. Since, they’ve released a second studio record, ‘The Thing Is’.
The band’s music is like a mix of Cage the Elephant and The Kinks, mixing an older rock ‘n roll feel into a more modern sound.
The band has just a short history of playing shows, as they’re a newer band to jump onto the scene, but they sound as if they’ve been doing it for a long time.
The Thing will be performing on the GoPuff stage at 12:30 pm, and will perform for 30 minutes. They will also be doing a late night show on Thursday night with Telescreens at the Mercury Lounge. Tickets are still available here.
