Boston Calling Festival in Boston, Massachusetts, begins today and runs through Sunday. The festival will bring in names like Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Tyler Childers, and many more, including a full lineup of local artists.

The festival takes place on the Harvard Athletic Grounds and features four stages: two main stages that alternate acts, a smaller side stage, and a local stage with local Boston artists.

The day starts off today, Friday, with a set by Divine Sweater on the Red Stage. The day also continues with artists like Luke Hemmings, Renee Rapp, Young the Giant, Leon Bridges, and is headlined by Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday before heading up to Boston for his Boston Calling set tonight. Festival sets for Ed Sheeran in the United States are very rare, so this is a big pickup for Boston Calling.

The weekend starts off with a solid middle day, featuring headlining sets by Tyler Childers and Trey Anastasio with Classic TAB.

Trey Anastasio will also appear with his band at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.

The day also features Khruangbin, who is a fan favorite for many. The Red Clay Strays on the Blue Stage is a can’t miss, and Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls are a very fun festival set.

The day concludes on Sunday with a jam-packed day of can’t miss artists.

Sunday starts off with a heavy conflict between two smaller bands that are not very known, but I would recommend both. The Heavy Heavy are performing on the Green Stage and The Thing are performing on the Blue Stage at around 2:00 pm.

Royel Otis performs next on the Red Stage, and I would expect a large crowd for them, even that early in the day. Chappell Roan and The Revivalists continue on the main stages, and Blondshell will perform on Blue at around 6:00 pm.

The evening begins with Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, Alvvays, and the festival closes out with The Killers.

Alvvays came as a late addition to the festival, replacing Lovejoy who dropped out of all their festivals for the rest of the year.

The Killers are a standard festival act at this point, however they still put on a great show every time. They are also headlining GovBall in June in Flushing.
