Jay Z’s Made in America Festival in Philadelphia has been canceled once again. The festival will not occur in 2024.

Made in America’s website previously featured a statement in hopes to return this year, however that hope is now dead. Axios reports the festival draws 50,000 attendees daily.

The website now presents the following statement: “Made In America will not take place in 2024.

Since its inception, this groundbreaking festival has celebrated music and community—from creating a space for fans to connect, to uplifting local small businesses and shining a light on important causes. It has strived for accessibility, eliminating barriers through affordable tickets and location.

As purveyors of change, the Made In America executive production team is reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do.

We promise an exciting return to the festival.”

Though this is sad news for Philadelphia music fans, this isn’t a complete surprise. The organizers and Philadelphia city officials have had their disagreements in the past over the location of the festival grounds.

There are still other festivals in the city, including Roots Picnic, put on by Live Nation and The Roots.

Made in America was involved in many major festival cancelations in the area last year, including Bamboozle in Atlantic City and 1234Fest in Camden. It’s unclear whether Made in America will return in 2025.
